Internetty Connection Check
Check the connection you are using now: IPv4 and IPv6, DNS, packet size, latency, and whether well-known websites answer. It runs in your browser, nothing is installed, and it takes about a minute.
What the Check Covers
- IPv4 and IPv6. Whether the connection reaches the test servers, and which address family the device prefers.
- Packet size (MTU). Whether full-size packets reach the device. When they do not, small pages load but larger pages, downloads and VPNs stall.
- Latency, jitter and packet loss. A stream of small packets at the rate of a voice call.
- DNS. Which DNS resolver the device really uses, whether it copes with large answers, and whether it rejects names with broken DNSSEC signatures.
- Websites. Whether well-known sites answer, and the sites you name, tested from here and from the test network.
- Speed and load (optional). How much latency rises while the connection is busy.
Results describe this device, on this connection, at this moment. A check that cannot run is reported as such rather than as a fault.
